Heritage can produce shafts in sizes from 1/4″ up to 1/2″
We can also supply them with tapers on the ends, commonly known as :-
Rear tapered shafts / bobtailed shafts (rat tailed)
Barrelled shafts
Chested Shafts or Breasted shafts.
All shafts can be supplied with inserts at the nock end.
The timber we use is Scots Pine, as used in the Victorian period
Heavy shafts for Warbows are made from Ash, Pine and Larch

Our Traditional English Longbows can be made from a single piece of timber or multiple pieces of timber to create a laminate bow. Made to the 5/8 rule they are legal to shoot in all competitions.
We also use bamboo in the construction if required, this gives the bow a slimmer profile and faster cast due to the reduced limb weight.
Small horn nocks, leather stitched grip and fastflight string.
Bows are glued up with a 2″ forward set which makes the bow shoot faster and reduces string follow.
Finished with an oil or varnish finish, the choice is yours.
These bows are made with a bamboo back and belly with a timber core.
They are smooth drawing and fast shooting
Small overlay nocks in timber or horn, leather stitched grip and fastflight string.

For a more reliable bow for Roving Marks we can use bamboo in the construction which although isn’t traditional it should give less problems than an all wood bow.

All our Pine shafts are made in our own workshop from timber specially selected by us so we know that they will be great quality.
You can choose from basic arrows for a beginner or high end for the best of the best.
With loads of colours to choose from and different feather shapes and sizes we can make anything you want.
We make arrows for Warbows too. These arrows are mostly made in 3/8″ or 1/2″ and can be tapered on end or both ends.
Made to your own spec for general shooting / roving marks or made to The English Warbow Society specifications.

From wooden crossbows to Viking longbows and arrows
These items are lower draw weights to conform to the reenactment group rules so the risk of any injury is reduced.
We mainly use ash and hickory to produce our reenactment bows.
